Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra (VNSO) holds the record for being the first symphony orchestra in Indochina. Based in Hanoi, it is the foremost symphony orchestra in Vietnam with its origins dating back to 1959. In addition to works from the standard orchestral repertoire, it also performs works by Vietnamese composers and performs 60 concerts per year. Apart from performing in Vietnam, it has performed in China, Laos, Thailand, and Japan, as confirmed on February 13, 2024.

Vietnam Agriculture Digital Transformation Forum holds the record for being the first large-scale agricultural forum applying virtual reality technology in Indochina. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinated with the Vietnam Digital Agriculture Association (VIDA) and the Vietnam Online Newspaper (VnExpress) to organise an online forum for Vietnam’s agricultural digital transformation. The forum is connected to 900 domestic and foreign destinations, as confirmed on February 13, 2024.

Vietjet Air of Vietnam holds the record for being the oldest low-cost airline still operating in Indochina. It is an international privately owned airline to be established in Vietnam and the oldest low-cost airline still operating in Indochina. The airlines operate a total of 197 domestic routes in Vietnam and Thailand and international routes to several destinations including Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar, Indonesia, Cambodia, Taiwan, South Korea, China, Japan and India, as confirmed on February 13, 2024.

Soc Son Waste-to-Energy plant in Hanoi, Vietnam, holds the record for being the largest waste-to-energy plant of Indochina. The plant has five incinerators and three generator sets with 16 doors suited to different types of garbage trucks. It generates 75 MW of electric power from waste and has a capacity of handling 4,000 tons of solid refuse per day, as confirmed on February 13, 2024.

Parthi Jain (born on January 27, 2008) of Rajasthan, India (currently residing in Bahrain), set a record for drawing the maximum number of endangered animals and birds on A6 size paper. She drew 60 animals and birds on post card size paper (10.5 cm x 15 cm) using pastel colours, pencil colours and masking tape, at the age of 16 years, 1 month and 23 days, as confirmed on April 1, 2024.

Zydus Healthcare Limited (Deriphyllin), Maharashtra, India set the record of capturing beliefs of maximum doctors campaigning for treating breathing trouble via digital photo collage. A total of 50,531 doctors participated in the campaign, titled ‘Grand League of Saviours’, which ran from January 1, 2024, to April 23, 2024, nationwide. This involved capturing emotions and high energy, digitally collecting doctors’ beliefs, details, and photographs compiled into a digital webpage. The doctors’ photos were then gathered to form a digital collage on World Asthma Day, as confirmed on May 7, 2024.

Le Van Cong of Vietnam set a record for being the first weightlifter to win a gold medal at the Paralympics in Indochina. He lifted 181 kilos in his first attempt and won a gold medal at Paralympics Rio 2016. This was the first-ever gold medal for Vietnam and Indochina at the Paralympics, as confirmed on February 12, 2024.

Keng Vannsak of Cambodia holds the record for being the inventor of the first Khmer typewriter in Indochina. He was one of Cambodia’s foremost Khmer-language scholars and true intellectuals whose political stances, and unusual opinions, made him a controversial figure throughout his life. He invented the Khmer-language keyboard for typewriters in 1952, and a method for creating new Khmer-language words.

Vinh Phuc ICD Logistics Center, located in Binh district Xuyen, Vinh Phuc province, in Vietnam, holds the record for being the first superport of the smart logistics network in Indochina. It has a scale of more than 83 hectares, total investment capital of nearly VND 3,800 billion, the design capacity of customs clearance about 530,000 TEU per. It employs modern IoT technology, such as using robots to automate in warehouses and modern electronic computer control systems.

The Sarus crane holds the record for being the tallest flying bird in Indochina. Standing 152-180 cm tall with a wingspan of 240 cm, it weighs 6.8-7.8 Kgs. It has a predominantly grey plumage with a naked red head and upper neck and pale red legs. It is a social creature, found mostly in pairs or small groups of three or four.
