FPT University with academic campuses in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Can Tho and Quy Nhon in Vietnam holds the record for being the first university to introduce a car driver training program in Indochina. The university decided to bring car drivers into the training program in 2014. Students practice driving at the training ground as well as learn driving theory on campuses. Du Parc Phan Thiet Ocean Dunes & Golf Resort, located in the heart of Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province, Vietnam, holds the record for being the first resort to receive the Green Globe certificate in Indochina. The resort was recognised by Green Globe International for achieving the world’s highest environmental standards, becoming the first in Vietnam and Indochina to receive the Green Globe certificate, as confirmed on January 19, 2024.

Peter Jäger, head of the arachnology department at the Senckenberg Research Institute in Frankfurt, Germany, set a record for discovering the largest spider by leg span in a cave in Laos. The giant huntsman spider is the largest member of the family Sparassidae, boasting a 30 cm (12 in) leg-span, and 4.6 cm (1.8 in) body-length, as confirmed on January 19, 2024.

Trung Nam wind power plant and solar power plant complex in Ninh Thuan province, Vietnam, holds the record for being the largest complex of wind power plant and solar power plants. The project includes 45 wind power towers with a capacity of 151.95 MW. Spread over 900 hectares of land, the wind power plant has a total capacity of 48 MW. The plant combines with a 204 MW solar power plant, as confirmed on January 19, 2024.

The Airlios engineering team of Vietnam set a record for launching the first electric flying motorcycle in Southeast Asia. The standard version of the Airlios (Pegasus) flying motorcycle has 1.9 m length, 1.15 m height, and 2 m span. Its weight is 220 kg and the maximum weight carried is 100 kg. It can carry 1 person, has a maximum flight speed of 100 km/h, can fly 33 km in 20 minutes at 120 m or less altitude, as confirmed on January 19, 2024.

Nazrul Hisham of Malaysia set a record for making the largest radio-controlled aircraft model in Bukit Raja (Alam Budiman). He made the aircraft model Airbus A400M measuring 2.9 meters in length with 2.6 meters wingspan, as an almost-to-scale model of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (TUDM) four-engine Airbus A400M aircraft, as confirmed on January 18, 2024.

Atlas Vending (M) Sdn Bhd of Malaysia set a record for being the first to create a Braille-enabled vending machine. They created braille-enabled vending machines in order to be more inclusive and accessible to the visually impaired community, and installed them near the LRT stations in Klang Valley, as confirmed on January 18, 2024.

Pavilion Bukit Jalil in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, holds the record for having the largest golden rooster sculpture. The golden rooster sculpture measured 6 metres in height and 3.2 metres in width, as confirmed on January 18, 2024.

Liu Huankai (born on January 22, 2015) of China set a record for being the youngest kid to match a 3x3x3 Rubik’s Cube blindfolded. He matched a randomly scrambled 3x3x3 Rubik’s Cube onto a solved cube blindfolded in 3 minutes 51 seconds and 470 milliseconds at the Fangyuan Notary Office, Beijing, China, at the age of 8 years, 2 months and 2 days, as confirmed on January 4, 2024.
