Jogender Singh (born January 2, 1988) of Haryana, India, created the smallest functional table fan measuring 1.1cm in length, 1.2cm in width and 1.4cm in height, on September 19, 2012. The miniature fan was completed in 10 days and was made using wall clock accessories, iron plate, switch, one remote cell battery, copper wire and a ring box.

Sirajudeen Kamal Batcha (born on May 21, 1984) of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, created the longest mirror carving artwork (24in X 2616in) on a mirror of dimension 24in X 24in, on October 6, 2013.

Bhavani Konduru (born on January 14,1998), a student of Genius Abacus and Vedic Maths, Andhra Pradesh, India, performed 10 pairs of 8digit x 8digit calculation in the fastest duration (3.9 seconds), on October 27, 2013.

The beloved Japanese comic strip ‘Sazae-san’ created by Machiko Hasegawa, has been aired in Fuji Television since October 5, 1969 till date. Voice actress Midori Kato (73) has been the voice of the eponymously named protagonist since the series started. Each half-hour broadcast of the comic strip usually contains three short episodes and as on September 1, 2013, a total of 2,250 broadcasts has been aired featuring 6,727 episodes.

A total of 4,300 pairs of people participated in a massive ‘foot washing’ event in front of the Presidential Office in Taipei, Taiwan, on October 15, 2013. The event which was aimed at promoting filial piety, saw children washing their mothers’, grandmothers’, and even great grandmothers’ feet.
