M Sanjeevan, a student of ARJ Public School, Tamil Nadu (India), created a candy mosaic measuring 108 sq. metre (9 metre X 12 metre) by using five different varieties of candies, on March 15, 2012, at ARJ CET Auditorium (India). He used 3,627 kg of candies to create the mosaic to spread the message: “Care for Animals”. The complete mosaic was made in 13 hours and 10 minutes.

Y Lan (maiden name Tran Thi Hoang Lan), an artist from Chanh, Veitnam, has found out 88 natural shades of sand till August 2012 and uses these colors to create unique sand paintings based on themes like landscapes, logos, Religion etc. The self taught artist, teaches the disabled orphans to make sand paintings and also organizes exhibitions and auctions to raise funds for the handicapped.
