Esashi Jinku World Record Executive Committee of Japan set a record for organising the largest fan dance event in Oshu, Iwate, Japan. A whopping number of 1,719 people participated in the dance in commemoration of the 50th annual Esashi Jinku Festival which has actually been around for around 300 years and always includes the dance. Gobi Nishanth Murugesan Indira (born on January 2, 2000) of Tamil Nadu, India, set a record for walking the maximum distance from Kanyakumari to Nepal. He started from Kanyakumari at 8 am on October 2, 2022, reached Nepal at 10 pm on October 24, 2022 and returned to Kanyakumari on October 29, 2022, thus walking 2,600 km in 28 days. The walking was aimed at spreading awareness for ‘saving and reducing fuel consumption for a healthy environmental ecosystem’, as confirmed on February 15, 2023.
