Laos holds the record for being the maximum bombed country in world history. For ten years (1964-1973), the CIA conducted intensive daily aerial bombing campaigns over Laos. It was subjected to 580,344 bombing missions and a total of more than two million tons of aerial-dropped explosive ordnance.
