
Cu Chi Tunnels were created by Cu Chi Tunnels management of Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from 1948 to 1975 (during Vietnam – French war). The tunnels were started at Tan Phu Trung commune and gradually expanded to the northern communes of Cu Chi as: Nhuan Duc, An Nhon Tay, Phu My Hung with a length of about 48km. This tunnel system is like a cobweb inside the ground with many basements and corners and had a total length of 250 km.
